Analysis of Bed Sorting Methods for One Dimensional Sediment Transport Model

Proper estimation of sediment movement is very critical for the management alluvial rivers. Computing transport with single particle size possible. However, particles on river bed and in have a distribution. It important to estimate material change, such as armoring, case scour. In this study, applicability sorting method, which available HEC-RAS, was analyzed. Bed methods divide into two or three layers. Numerical simulations were conducted Geum River, Korea. The performance simulation respect evaluated by considering temporal change during scour armoring process. Three layer are not applicable natural had oscillatory variation. method has stable changes predicts properly even limited field data. Consequently, active reliable rivers simulate while applications require sufficient investigation.
